I am a full-time RV’r, artist, adventurer, photographer, and blogger.
When I was in my late teens, I wanted to travel the country so badly. I bought a used mail truck and tried to fix it up for full time RV. HA!
Well, it did give me a lot of experience in putting in an engine! Yep, that’s right. I didn’t plan that, but I was so inexperienced, I had no idea what I was getting into. You know sometimes at that age you trust people to be honest.
With some help, I put in a new engine in a really old mail truck.
Then the brakes and tires needed to be replaced.
Then I realized it was a right hand drive, duh, and would be a bit harder to drive.
And drive standing up.
Yea, I didn’t think that through. OK, so I abandoned the mail truck idea and wound up in Florida in my 30’s as a portrait photographer. It is a great career! For 30 years I have run my own photography business, photographed portraits, babies to brides and everything in between! Met great people and loved my profession. Photographed over 500 weddings!
Then I suffered a significant injury. As I recovered from my injury, I had a wake up call. I realized it was now or never. I could have my “stuff” in a conventional home or I could go and travel. So within a month I bought a tow vehicle and “Smiley”, my 2013 Keystone Premier 19.5′ travel trailer. I made 2 – 6 week trips in the following two years and loved it. In 2019, I decided to go full time and never looked back. Yes, it was hard getting rid of “stuff” but once it was done, it was so freeing.
I love to travel to lesser known areas and explore the road less traveled.
Exploring changing light and locales, photographing with a sense of awe and delight.
This blog shares my travels, my photography and my life. I am pleased you can share my love of adventure, nature and gorgeous places to visit. You will also find quite a few flower photographs, as I have a soft spot in my heart for flowers and love to photograph them.
Follow along on my adventures as I give tips and insight about living on the road and beautiful places to photograph!
